Classical assault scene, attacking the terrorist and hostage rescuing. The video consists of two parts, the first one - tension in music increases and it almost turns into a noise at climax. Distorted music elements emphasize dramatic mood of the scene. The second part shows us a time freeze at attack moment. The mood is mystic and confident at the same time. Few words on making of sound for this project.
MAKING OF

Sound effects were recorded at three stages:

1. During the actual shooting I recorded actors voices and breaking glass;
2. At the next day I recorded noises at the location. We picked up all the requisite items - boots, uniform, rope, chair and of course grenade (real grenade turned out to be plastic) - and went to a location to record all the foley and noises at the emptied location). Also city ambiences were recorded;
3. The final step was to record pretty silent noises at the studio - the rope, chair creak and some breath.
We needed to record a good sound of the moving troops - the combination of the cloth and small metal chunking. The best solution was sound produced an ordinary backpack - just perfect I'd say.
In the second part of the video I used some explosions and gunshots, reversed breaking glass and the sound of injured human flesh. This sound comes from liquid mud manipulations. Then I just reversed it.
Here is SFX track only:
It took me about 1 week to complete all the sound works. Cheers!
